Floating Mason Jar Centerpieces

Since Michael's was having a 5 for $5 sale on Kerr Mason Jars this weekend, in addition to a 20% off coupon on all items throughout the store, I decided to stock up. I literally sat down in the middle of the aisle, and began planning how I could arrange these jars for centerpieces and decor accessories. With some additional accessories (seen in the photo on the right), I was able to create a simple, candlelit centerpiece for any dining occasion.

For this project, you need the following items:

-(1) Ashland Floating Candles ($3.99/each)

-(3) Ashland Decorative Gems ($2.99/each)

-(1) Ashland Glass Sea Rocks ($2.99/each)

-Your choice in flower petals

-(1) Ashland Submersible LED Lights ($7.49)

-(2) X-Large Mason Jars

-(4) Small Mason Jars

For the X-Large Mason Jars:

Place a single Submersible LED light at the bottom of both jars, with the light turned on. Then, divide the Decorative Gems and Sea Rocks equally for both jars, and place them around the submersible light. Don't be afraid to cover the light with these gems/rocks. It will add a nice glow for the finished project. Once the gems/rocks are in place, fill 3/4 of the jars with water. Then, gently place a single, floating candle onto the water's surface of each jar. You will need to keep the lid of the jar removed (when the candle is lit). However, for an added touch, feel free to twist the outer, metallic ring of the lid back in place for decoration.

For the Small Mason Jars:

Fill each jar half-way with water. Then, gently place a floating candle on the water's surface of each jar. You will need to keep the lid of the jar removed (when the candle is lit). However, for an added touch, feel free to twist the outer, metallic ring of the lid back in place for decoration.

The Arrangement:

Align the jars, as seen in the photos, to form your centerpiece. Then, surround the centerpiece with flower petals. You are now finished.
