Floating Flower Jars

Need to boost the color of your home decor, or next get-together? Then you've come to the right place. Check out this quick and easy DIY centerpiece that requires a minimum of 3 items:
1) Any-Size Mason Jar
2) a Bouquet of Flowers (of your choosing)
3) Water
Additional Items (if you want to step up your game):
1) Ashland Gems (to match your bouquet of flowers)
2) Submersible LED Lights
3) Flower petals (separate from the bouquet, but similar colors)
For this project, I've included two sample centerpieces: The first that involves a single, large mason jar; the second that involves multiple, small mason jars. Feel free to try both options for the same occasion, assuming the colors compliment one another.
Option 1: The Large Mason Jar:
Begin by cutting the flower heads from the stems, and set aside (as seen in the first photo). Next, place two submersible LED lights at the bottom of the jar, and surround them with the Ashland Gems. Once filled, add enough water that fully covers the gems, and leaves enough room for a single flower head to float. I recommend filling the jar half-way. Finally, choose a single, flower head that's large enough to be a focal point for the mason jar, and place it on top of the water's surface. Your centerpiece is now complete.
Option 2: The Small Mason Jar (which can be grouped):
Begin by cutting the flower heads from the stems, and set aside (as seen in the first photo). Once you complete this step, you have two choices that will determine the final outcome of this centerpiece. You can either:
A) Line the bottom of each mason jar with the Flower petals to form a base. Then, fill the jar half-way with water, and a place a single flower head on the water's surface.
Or,
B) Instead of lining the bottom of each mason jar with petals, turn the flower heads sideways (where the tops of the flowers face the sides of the jar), and stack the flower heads on top of one another. Then, fill the jar with a full amount of water. This will allow the bulk of flower heads to float to the top. And to complete each jar, place a single flower head over the exposed opening of the jar.
Feel free to create all 3 options for a single centerpice. You can't go wrong!

(Above): The Small Mason Jars: The outer jars use flower petals as the base, with a single flower floating on top of the water. The inner jar uses the flower heads stacked upon one another, and the group of flowers will float to the top, when filled with water. Then, place a single flower head on top of the exposed opening.
