Although painted jars give a true, vintage look; most are not dishwasher safe. And if you've seen the residue that builds up from a toothbrush holder, you'll want to keep it clean. Just remove the hardware, place the jars in the dishwasher, and you're good to go.
Although the soap dispenser kit is pretty self explanatory, the tooth brush holder kit requires wire cutters, because it's actually designed for a mason jar flower vase.
